TRANSLATION

This is a Vector Tutorial. Medium.

Open up a new Image 300 x 200.

This Tutorial was written in PSP 9. Can be done in 7 or 8.

1. The Tip. Set Your Background to the Silver Gradient that comes with PSP, Angle 0,Repeats 0. Make your Foreground Null. Using the Preset Shapes Tool/Pentagon. Vector Checked! Draw a Pentagon 12 x 24. Watch your Status bar at the bottom. Use the Handles to Rotate it as shown Below. Expand the Layer by clicking on the plus sign. Double click on the Pentagon layer and make sure the Gradient is set to Angle 0 & Repeats 0. Place this on the Right Side of your Canvas. Convert to Raster.

2. Push Thing. Using the Preset Shapes Tool/Rounded Rectangle. Draw a Rectangle 20 x 10. Convert to Raster.

3. The Pen. Change your Background to #000000. Draw another Rounded Rectangle using the Preset Shapes Tool Size 230 x 20. Make Sure that both ends match. I Pulled down a Guide. Then Zoomed in to make sure they were matching on Both Ends. Using the Pen tool Push the top Nodes in to match the tip and the push thing. Convert to Raster when you are happy with it.

4. Using your Selections Tool/Rectangle. Make a Selection about 23 X 35 towards the Tip. Go to Selections/Float. Add a New Layer. Go to Selections/Modify/Expand. Put in a 1 and Apply. Flood fill with the Silver Gradient, Angle 0. Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds. Apply with the following settings.
Width: 8
Opacity: 57
Color: #808080
Light from the top Checked

5. Back on the Pen layer. Make another Selection about 113 X 34 with the Rectangle Selection tool. Go to Selections/Float. Then Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner bevel and apply with the following Settings:

6. Back on the Pen layer. Make another Selection about 113 X 30 with the Rectangle Selection tool. Go to Selections/Float. Add a New Layer. Go to Selections/Modify/Expand. Put in a 1 and Apply. Flood fill with the Silver Gradient, Angle 0.
Note: The reason I put these on Seperate Layes was so I could change the Pen easily to Gold or any Gradient if I wanted.

7. Using the Preset Shapes Tool/Rectangle. Vector Checked. Make your Background the Silver Gradient. Draw a Rectangle at the top of the pen 68 x 7. Click on the Pen Tool. Hold down the Shift key and click on the 2 top Nodes. Right click and select Node Type/Symmetric. Now hold down the CTRL key and add 2 nodes in the middle on the top and bottom. Push them both in a bit. On the Bottom nodes pull both out a bit. See below:

Convert to Raster when Happy with it. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply with the follwing settings:
Horizontal & Vertical: 1
Opacity: 100
Blur: 5
Shadow Color: #808080

Your Done! Save as a PSP file.
