TRANSLATION
This is a Vector Tutorial. Easy.
Open up a new Image 400 x 400.
This Tutorial was written in PSP 9. Can be done in 7 or 8.
1. Add A new Vector Layer named Bottom. Set Your Background color to #000000 Make your Foreground Null. Using the Preset Shapes Tool/Ellispe. Vector Checked! Draw a Ellipse 113 x 42. Watch your Status bar at the bottom. Convert to Raster.
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and Apply with the following settings:
2. Using the Preset Shapes Tool, Rounded Rectangle. Draw a Rectangle 16 x 222. Place it in the center on top of the base. Convert to Raster. Apply the Same Inner Bevel. Name this layer Pole.
3. Change your Background to a color you want for your Shade. I used #E9DDCD. Using the Preset Shapes Tool/Rectangle Draw a Rectangle 125 x 110. Hold down the CTRL key and Pull the Top Left Node in. Then Pull the Bottom Left Node Out.
3A. Using the Pen Tool, hold down the CTRL key and add five nodes at the bottom. Hold down the Shift key and select all the nodes at the bottom. Right click and Choose Node Type/Symmetric. Click anywhere on the canvas to deselet the Nodes. Push every other one up. And Adjust the ends ones to your liking. Convert to Raster when you are happy with it.
4. Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Add a New Layer. We are going to make the Pleats. Choose a Lighter color than your Lamp Shade for the Background, I used #F9F0E5. Choose a Darker color for the Foreground. I used #C8A780. Using the Airbrush Tool with the following settings:
Size: 35
Hardness: 7
Step: 24
Density: 100
Thickness: 100
Rotation: 0
Opacity: 24
Shade down with the Foreground and back up with the Background.
5. Go to the Pole Layer and add a New Vector Layer. Using your Pen Tool, Width 3. Line Segments. Make your Foreground #000000 and your Background Null. Draw a small line. Click apply when you are happy with it. Then toggle your Colors so Black is now your Back ground. Using the Preset Shapes Tool Ellispe. Draw a small Ellipse at the bottom.
Convert to Raster when Happy with it and apply the same inner bevel.
Your Done! Save as a PSP file.
