TRANSLATION
I have included the Wood pattern I used. It came with PSP 7 and 8 but not 9. Unzip to the Patten folder in PSP or just Open in PSP to use.
WOOD PATTERN FILE HERE
This is a Vector Tutorial. Easy.
Open up a new Image 400 x 400.
This Tutorial was written in PSP 9. Can be done in 7 or 8.
1. Add A new Vector Layer. Set Your Background to color to the Wood Grain 01 that comes with PSP Angle 90, Scale 100. Make your Foreground Null. Using the Preset Shapes Tool/Rectangle. Vector Checked! Draw a Rectangle 90 x 170. Watch your Status bar at the bottom. Convert to Raster.
Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and Apply with the following settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 20
Shadow Color: #945B18
2. Still using the Preset Shapes Tool same settings. Change the Angle of the Wood to 0. Draw another Rectangle 90 x 50 for a drawer. Convert to Raster. Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and Apply with the following settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 15
Shadow Color: #945B18
Go to Adjust/Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Put in -10 for the Brightness and 0 for the Contrast and apply.
3. Change your Background to the Gold or Silver gradient that comes with PSP. Angle 0 Repeats 0. Draw another Rectangle using the Preset Shapes Tool Size 27 x 8 for a handle. Convert to Raster. Right Click on this Layer and choose Merge Down. Right Click again and Choose Duplicate. Use the Mover Tool to move it down for another Drawer.
Close your Background Layer. Right Click and Merge all Layers Visible. Right Click again and choose Duplicate. Then go to Image Mirror.
4. Go to the Top Layer. Using your Preset Shapes Tool/Rectangle. Make your Background the Wood Angle 0 And Draw a Rectangle, 360 x90. Hold Down the Ctrl Key and pull the Top Left Node in. Then let go of the Ctrl key and pull the middle down so it looks flat. Convert to Raster.
5. Using the Preset Shapes Tool same Settings. Background color the Wood Angle 0. Draw a Rectangle 360 x 15. Convert to Raster. Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and Apply with the following settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Shadow Color: #945B18
Go to Adjust/Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Put in -20 for the Brightness and 0 for the Contrast and apply.
Your Done! Save as a PSP file.
