TRANSLATION
You need the Alpha Channel Selections Image. Unzip to a folder of your choice. BOOKCASE FILE HERE
I have included the Wood pattern I used. It came with PSP 7 and 8 but not 9. Unzip to the Patten folder in PSP or just Open in PSP to use.
Open up the wgbbookcase Image do a Shift D to duplicate and close out the Original.
This Tutorial was written in PSP 9. Can be done in 7 or 8.
1. Click on the Back Layer. Go to Selections/Load/Save Selections/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Select 01-wgbback. Change your Foreground to the Wood Grain 01 that was included in the zip. Angle 90 Scale 100, and Flood fill. Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Put in a -20 for Brightness and 15 for contrast.
2. Click on the Side Layer. Go to Selections/Load/Save Selections/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Select 02-wgbside. Flood fill with your Foreground. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply with the following settings:
Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Apply with the same settings.
3. Click on the Shelfs Layer. Go to Selections/Load/Save Selections/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Select 03-wgbshelfs. Flood fill. Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3d Effects/Cutout and apply with the same settings.
Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast.Apply with the same settings.
DESELCT!
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply with the following settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 8
Opacity: 100
Blur: 50
Shadow Color: #000000
Check the Shadow on new layer.
PSP 7 Users add a Layer under the Shelf Layer and apply the drop Shadow.
On the Shadow Layer Re-load the 01-wgbback. Go to selections/Invert and hit the delete key.
4. Click on the Side 1 Layer. Go to Selections/Load/Save Selections/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Select 04-wgbside1. Flood fill with your Foreground. Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Change the Brightness to -40 and apply.
5. Click on the Top Layer. Go to Selections/Load/Save Selections/Load Selection from Alpha Channel. Select 05-wgbtop. Change the Angle of the Wood Pattern to 0 and Flood fill. Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3d Effects/Cutout and apply with the following settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 25
Shadow Color: #906736
Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Change the Brightness to -20 and apply.
Do not Merge!
Add what ever you want to the shelfs Above the Shadow Layer.
Your Done! Save as a PSP file.
