TRANSLATION

This is a Vector Tutorial. Easy.

This Tutorial was written in PSP 9. Can be done in any Version.

1. Open a New Image 500 X 500. Make your Background Color A red Color. Foreground Null. Using your Preset Shapes Tool/Rectangle. Make a Large Rectangle 20 X 447. Right Click and Convert to Raster. Then Go to Adjust Brightness& Contrast/Brightness/Contrast. Put in a -40 for Brightness and 0 For Contrast.

2. Add a new Vector Layer. Using the Preset Shapes tool Same settings Make another Rectangle the same length but 14 X 447. Right Click and Convert to Raster. Go to Selections/Select all/Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply the Follwing Settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 10
Shadow Color: A darker shade of your fill color

Right click on the layer and Choose Merge Down. Then right Click again and Choose Duplicate. Then Use the mover tool to move over to the Right side.

3. Add a New Vector Layer. Using the Preset Shapes tool/Ellipse. Make you background a white color. Make a ellipse to cover the legs and shape as shown below. I just moved the side nodes down. And the center nodes up.

4. Go to Selections/Select All/Selections Float/Selections/Save Load Selection to Alpha Channel/Save Selection to Alpha Channel. Name it what you want. Load the selection and go to Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply the following Settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 20
Shadow Color: A light gray color.

Go to selections/ Contract put in a 10 and apply. Then go to Selections/Invert. Reduce the Airbrush to 10. Spray some stripes on. Then re-load the section. Go to Selections/Invert and hit the delete key.

5. Add a new Layer. Using the Preset Shapes Tool, Ellipse. Draw a Large ellipse and shape as shown Below. I added 2 nodes at the top and pulled them in. Then I used the other nodes to round it out.

Go to Selections/Select All/Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply the following Settings:
Vertical & Horizontal: 0
Opacity: 100
Blur: 20
Shadow Color: A shade darker than your fill

6. Get the Snowman you made. Open Go to Image reduce size by 50% Copy and paste as a new Layer. Go to effects/3d Effects/Drop Shadow and apply with the following settings
Vertical & Horizontal: 5
Opacity: 50
Blur: 13
Shadow Color: Black
7. Add words and you are done!
