Path Drawing Tool
Description: Learn how to draw a basic shape, Using the Path Tools. Use the Retouch tools to shade.
1. Open a New Image 400 X 400 with a White Background. Using the Path Drawing tool Ellipse. 2D: Color- Any I used #D4F2F2. Draw an Ellipse 175 X 285. Add 4 nodes at the top and 2 at the bottom as shown Below. Then Use Free Edit to shape.
2. Using the Path Drawing tool Rounded Rectangle. 2D: Color- Same . Draw a Shape 150 x 35.Place at the top.
3. Click on the Vase Layer. Then Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Burn Tool- Size 40, Soft Edge 50 Level 50. Shade around the edges and along the top where the rim is.Change to the Dodge Tool. Size 50, Soft Edge 25, Level 25 and shade a highlight.
4. Click on the Rim Layer. Then Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Burn Tool- Same settings and shade the right side. Then use the Dodge tool to Shade the left side.
